Why Embroidery Outlasts Printing on Uniforms
Logo embroidery sews thread directly into the fabric, and it carries a weight and depth that no print reproduces, which is why it stays the default for corporate shirts, chef jackets, blazers and medical coats. It is also the most durable option we offer on anything that is not light coloured polyester.
The pricing works differently from printing. Embroidery is priced by stitch count, not colour count, so a ten colour logo costs the same as a two colour logo at the same stitch count. That is why our minimum here is 10 pieces rather than the 100 we need for screen printing.

Embroidery Types We Run
Flat stitch
The standard finish for corporate and healthcare uniforms. Clean, low profile and the most economical per garment.
3D puff
Foam is laid under the stitch so the logo sits raised off the fabric. Popular on caps and outerwear, and it needs artwork with bold simple shapes.
Chenille
Thick looped yarn, the finish used on varsity jackets and school crests. Best on large letters and heavyweight garments.
Woven and stitched patches
A single crest made once and applied across many garment styles. Usually the cheapest route when one logo goes onto a mixed uniform range.
Branding Flame Resistant Workwear Without Voiding It
Standard polyester thread is not flame resistant. Stitched onto an FR coverall it can compromise the garment arc rating and void certification under NFPA 2112 or EN ISO 11612, which turns your logo into a melting point against the wearer skin. Most suppliers will take that order without mentioning it.
We hold FR certified aramid thread and emblems in stock, so branding stays inside certification. On high visibility garments we also plan placement around the certified fluorescent area, because an oversized back logo can drop a garment below its EN ISO 20471 class rating.
Embroidery Digitising, Placement and Colour
Embroidery machines cannot read an image file. Your logo is converted into a stitch file that maps every needle movement, direction and density, and that is a one time job per logo per size. Resizing an existing design usually means redoing it, because stitch density does not scale proportionally.
Standard sizes
- Left chest: 75 to 100 mm wide
- Right chest: 60 to 80 mm wide
- Sleeve: 50 to 75 mm wide
- Cap front: 50 to 60 mm high
- Nape or collar: 40 to 50 mm wide
Thread and colour
- Polyester thread as standard, because it holds colour through bleach and hot commercial washing
- Rayon carries more sheen but breaks down in an industrial wash cycle
- Send Pantone references and we match to the nearest available shade
- Thread libraries are finite, so an exact Pantone match is not always possible

Our embroidery services run in house on Beirut Street, Industrial Area 2, Ajman, and deliver to all seven emirates. Orders for Dubai and Sharjah ship on the same schedule as local work, 3 to 4 days under 100 pieces and 3 to 7 days on bulk runs. Because we manufacture the garment and stitch it under one roof, there is no third party handoff and no argument about who got the colour wrong.

What is the minimum order?
Ten pieces. That is deliberately low so startups, small offices and single site restaurants can order properly branded uniforms without committing to a bulk run.
How is embroidery priced?
By stitch count, not by the number of colours. A detailed logo with heavy fill costs more to stitch than a simple mark, regardless of how many thread colours it uses. Send your artwork and quantity for a firm quote.
How long does it take?
Orders under 100 pieces are finished in 3 to 4 days. Bulk runs of around 1,000 pieces take 3 to 7 days, and express turnaround is 3 days.
Can you brand flame resistant workwear?
Yes. We stock FR certified aramid thread and emblems, so branding does not compromise NFPA 2112 or EN ISO 11612 certification. Standard polyester thread is not FR rated and can affect a garment arc rating.
Will the logo survive industrial laundering?
Polyester thread will. It holds colour through bleach and high temperature commercial wash cycles, which is why we use it as standard on healthcare and hospitality garments. Rayon thread looks glossier but degrades faster.
What is digitising and do I need it again if I reorder?
Digitising converts your logo into a stitch file the machine can read. It is a one time job per logo per size. A straight reorder at the same size reuses the existing file, but changing the size usually means redoing it because stitch density does not scale proportionally.
Can you stitch Arabic and bilingual text?
Yes. Arabic needs more care than Latin lettering because letters connect, their shapes change depending on position in the word, and diacritics sit close to the baseline. We digitise Arabic separately rather than scaling the English version, and we advise a slightly larger minimum height. For bilingual name badges we normally set Arabic above English, right aligned.
What artwork file do you need?
Vector is best: AI, EPS, PDF, SVG or CDR. If you only have a raster file, send it at the highest resolution you have, ideally 300 DPI at final size with a transparent background. We can usually redraw a low resolution logo.
