Shirt or Polo, and Which Fabric
The shirt is the garment most staff wear every day, so small specification differences compound quickly. Two decisions cover most of it: the collar style your setting calls for, and the fabric weight it has to survive.
Formal and oxford shirts
Oxford is a basketweave with a subtle texture and natural sheen. It presses well and reads formal without being fragile, which is why it is the default for client facing and executive roles. Usually 140 to 160 GSM.
Polo shirts
Better for movement, heat and roles where a tie would be out of place: retail floors, technicians, events and field teams. Typically 180 to 220 GSM in poly cotton or pique.
The GSM question
A 120 GSM and a 160 GSM shirt look identical on a quote. The lighter one can show through under office lighting and softens faster in the wash. Always ask for GSM in writing before comparing prices.

Branding Office and Retail Shirts
Embroidery is the standard for shirts and polos. A stitched left chest logo carries a weight no print reproduces, and it survives daily wear and washing better than anything applied to the surface. Standard placement is 75 to 100 mm wide, aligned with the second button.

Most office shirts sit between 140 and 160 GSM, and polos between 180 and 220. Below about 130 GSM a shirt can show through under office lighting and loses shape faster in the wash. Ask any supplier to state GSM in writing, because without it two quotes cannot be compared.

Yes, and they differ in more than length. We recommend specifying both and running a size set, because shirt fit varies more between manufacturers than most buyers expect.
Will the shirt colour still be available for a reorder?
Confirm this before your first order. We keep your specification and logo file on record so repeat orders match, but fabric colour availability is worth agreeing in writing at the outset for any uniform programme.
